There comes a time in everyones lives where you find yourself needing a little bit of extra help, whether it be some painting or even a wedding planner. Bidvine* is the perfect location to find professionals for what you need. One particular service that stood out to me was the availability of event hair and makeup! This is perfect for important events, and would be particularly useful if you're a blogger, as well as their photography service which would be perfect for fashion posts.
DIY Giant Knitted Blanket
Wednesday, 24 May 2017
Pinterest has been full of giant knitted blankets lately and as soon as I found out most of them were handmade, I just had to make one myself! They're created by arm knitting, which is pretty much the same as regular knitting, just on a larger scale. I watched a few youtube tutorials to get an idea of how to make one, some people had even made their own giant knitting needles!
To create a giant throw, all you need is wool. I got mine from Woolly Mahoosive, 'extreme chunky acrylic' in the shade 'Dove Grey'. I got 4kg of it for £55.50 which made two throws, one big enough for the end of a double bed and the other for a single. It was really easy to knit and was completed in under an hour.
I love how it turned out! It looks amazing on my light grey/white sheets. There are so many things you could do with this wool, Woolly Mahoosive also have knit kits to make things like a lamp shade. There are also a lot of beautiful colours available, including an amazing pink colour which I'd love to get to make something else! The blanket overall is actually really soft, I was worried it would be quite itchy but it's not at all. This would be perfect for sitting out on in the sun and keeping warm on cooler summer nights.
Personalised Father's Day Gifts
Friday, 19 May 2017
Father's Day is arriving very soon and it can be hard to find something special. This year I decided to get something personalised! Snapfish offers a wide variety of products to personalise with pictures and text, from mugs to magnets and cushions to iPhone cases! I chose to personalise a 12x8" slim canvas with a photo of our dog, Charlie. The process was very easy, you simply upload the picture and position it however you desire. There are many ways to edit the picture as you can add boarders and embellishments. It's a great way to get creative and end up with a professional looking product. There's even a Father's Day selection with choices of different frames and ways to add artwork. This canvas was £18.99, so if you're looking to gift something a bit more special this father's day, be sure to check out Snapfish and their father's day gift ideas!
SaveSaveGoth Girl

Goth Girl is a series of books for 7 - 11 year olds. The story is an intriguing tale full of adventures, the perfect way to get their imaginations flowing. The book is full of strange, yet inspiring characters with many literary references. I love the illustrations, they bring the plot to life. It's a great story for the age group as it introduces the reader to a quirky, somewhat gothic genre. The story is based in the Ghastly-Gorm Hall, where Ada Goth and Lord Goth live. He believes children should be heard, not seen and so Ada must wear these large boots so he can hear her coming. Ada and the ghostly mouse, Ishmael, along with two other children, start their adventure to foil Maltravers (the mysterious indoor gamekeeper) plan before time runs out! This is the perfect mystery for your children to get lost in!
They only want you for your body
Anatomicals that is! A witty brand with an amazing skincare range. I love buying their face masks for my friends birthdays on Urban Outfitters, but I'd never tried them for myself... until now!
You can find anatomicals on their site but they are also stocked in Superdrug and ASOS.
Possibly the best idea ever! The pun is amazing and I love how the gel inside is red, making it even more vampire like. this soothing eye mask relieves eye bags. It can easily be put in the fridge to use the next morning for a fresh awakening, but can also be placed in hot water for a more relaxing afternoon. I rarely get puffy eyes, yet I still find myself using this as it feels so nice!
This next product is huge! Quite literally... this soap is the size of a mango (but smells like a grapefruit). It lathers up amazing, smells great, it does the job and its such a good price for the size! It's going to last me forever.
With a total of 10 deep cleaning strips, 5 for the nose and another 5 for chin & forehead, there's no doubt this pack will completely obliterate blackheads. I've noticed how effective it is as cleaning pores, you can really see an instant improvement. I have quite sensitive, dry skin and the cleaning strips are thankfully kind to my skin and haven't irritated it. My sister has also been trying them out as she has oily skin.
