ANOTHEREIGHT REVIEW
Wednesday, 30 September 2015
AnotherEight sent me some awesome jackets to review! AnotherEight create super sleek clothing made with high quality material.
This silky champagne pink bomber jacket is my favourite. It's called the EKKO Jacket and only costs £60 - which I think is a great price for a jacket of this quality. I love the style, bombers are a must have this season and this one from AnotherEight is a luxurious version. The material feels sooo nice, there's no way I could wear this on a rainy day, I'm way too paranoid about ruining it! If you're going to incorporate pink into your outfits, this is the way to do it. The colour is toned down and looks great with black.
Check out my review for this jacket here.

SEPTEMBER HAUL
Friday, 25 September 2015
LANA DEL REY - BORN TO DIE; I bought this vinyl from HMV with the voucher I won, there were so many to choose from, wish I had more vouchers!
Benefit fake up concealer; I've tried a sample of this concealer before and once it ran out I couldn't find a decent concealer with good coverage. So I decided to purchase the full size and I'm glad I did, it has great coverage and I love the idea of the hydrating part.
L'Oreal True Match; I've seen quite a few people saying this is a great drug store foundation, I beg to differ. It doesn't cover very well and the colour looks completely different in natural light. I tried it on in store and it seemed to match my skin, but when I put it on at home it just looked awful.
Rose Gold Hangers; Yep... coat hangers. My wardrobe is full of ugly coat hangers so I thought I might as well get some pretty ones, I found these at Primark.
LUSH Dragon's Egg; I'm always trying new bath bombs from lush, this one is great. It has a citrus scent and fizzes around the bath, leaving your water a golden orange. Like most products from Lush, it left my skin smelling great and feeling soft. (Big Blue is still my fave tho!)

URBAN COUNTRY
Thursday, 24 September 2015
This Taupe Matte bag is from Urban Country and is the perfect size for big folders or weekends away. You can get this bag from the Florence collection for £46.50. It has really handy padded compartments inside, one the size of and iPad, and the others would fit a phone and small notebook. This bag is available in other colours such as black and red; it's also available in a gloss finish. The shade of brown of this bag is really pretty, I love neutral coloured bags. So far I've used it for sixth form when I have big folders that won't fit in my other bag, but I think it'll be handy for weekends away or sleepovers. Take a look at the rest of their bags and let me know what you think!

BOOK REVIEW // GEEK GIRL
All that glitters.
Hannah Manners knows many facts.
- Toilet roll was invented by the Chinese in 600AD
- A comet's tail always points away from the sun
- The average healthy heart beats 70 times per minute. Even when it's broken
But she knows nothing about making new friends at Sixth Form. And even less about being a glittering supermodel success. Which she now is - apparently...
This is the fourth book of the Geek Girl series. I haven't read the previous books, but I imagine the series showed how Hannah Manners matures, seeing as she finds herself beginning Sixth Form. It's a cute, easy read that will occasionally make you laugh. I think it's best suited for younger girls, or those who haven't read many books. I think a lot of people would be able to relate to this book. She has a few problems with trusting people as she's insanely naive, she eventually learns from this, but it's rather frustrating that she doesn't initially notice her popularity is due to her status as a model. There are interesting facts throughout. I wouldn't recommend jumping into the series at book 4, I think it goes without saying you should give the first book of the series a try. I'm rather intrigued about what she was like before Sixth Form and her previous relationships, seeing as Hannah went into this one making new friends. Over all, I do feel as though it's an interesting story, I would've enjoyed it more 5 years ago maybe, none the less it's well written and represents a relatable adventure. The book deals with problems such as bulling and self confidence in a rather smart way. Have any of you read the series? If so let me know what you thought.

Dirty Velvet Review
Tuesday, 22 September 2015
Dirty velvet, the home of quirky printed t shirts, have produced some original pieces of clothing that can't be ignored! Worn by the likes of Usain Bolt, James Corden and Gary Barlow; Dirty Velvet create thought provoking designs that challenge the perspective humanity has on the universe. This t shirt below is a great example;
Otherwise known as 'The Magician' (£25.95), the roles are reversed; a rabbit is pulling a human out of the hat. The print is of a high quality, the two products I'm mentioning I actually have and I can tell you they're both great quality. This t shirt, along with the rest on the site, makes a great present! Especially for Christmas, which is getting dramatically closer! A perfect gift for a guy of course, but also great for girls.
Everyone needs a decent sweater to lounge around in and keep warm in for autumn and winter. This sweater (Skeleton Key, £44.95) is great, I have it in a medium so it's oversized (which is always the way to go with sweaters!). I love the simple design and the inside is sooo soft! I've worn it a lot since receiving it, it's a great piece to just throw on and chill in. If you like the look of these original pieces, take a look at Dirty Velvet's online store.

Everything But The Memories Review
Monday, 21 September 2015
Everything but the memories sent me this pretty collection, including a notebook, pencils and make up bag. The notebook is filled with plain white paper and the title on the cover feels and looks like a metal sticker (It's more 3D rather than a simple print). The font is also really similar to my hand writing which is cool. I've been looking for a notebook to put the polaroids that I take on Paris in, this one is perfect. I plan to make another post showing you what it looks like when I finish it.
The pencils feature printed messages, there's a wide variety available on the site, from Harry Potter to Alice In Wonderland. You can also personalise your own which is a big part of EBTM, making it perfect for gifts. The make up bag is intended to be motivational (as are the pencils), it's a clever play on words. To me, the make up bag seems to be more suitable for a pencil case. I don't think I'd be able to fit most of my make up in there any way. I love the fonts featured through out the products, and everything is a good quality.
House Of Watches // SEKONDA review
Saturday, 19 September 2015
I was sent this Sekonda watch from House Of Watches. It's currently £39.95 (was £59.99). The strap has alternating sparkly white and black stones which is attached to a round sterling silver case. It looks really nice on and it sparkles in natural light. It's a nice change from thick banded watches and looks really feminine. Another thing I like about this watch is that you can wear it with anything, a watch with a thick brown band isn't exactly what you'd wear on nights out. House Of Watches sell a range of brands from Gucci to Marc Jacobs (which I love).

The Jewel Hut // PANDORA Review
Thursday, 17 September 2015
The Jewel Hut sent me this pretty Pandora Ring; a silver cz heart ring. They have a huge range of designer jewellery, including Pandora. Rings are my favourite piece of jewellery and Pandora have a pretty collection, so I was super excited to see this in the post! I don't have much expensive jewellery as I tend to go for cheap fashion jewellery, which I've started to get fed up with as it turns a strange colour and leaves skin greenish. This ring is definitely something I'll wear everyday. A lot of pieces on The Jewel Hut are reduced so it's a great place to buy decent jewellery. I love simple, delicate jewellery so this ring is perfect for me. I was a bit weary deciding my ring size as I had no idea, luckily it fits perfectly, so you can tell the sizing is accurate. The ring arrived in a cute Pandora box with the gift bag. It's such a pretty ring, I need more for my other fingers! They're perfect for stacking so I'll need to stock up!
Hazel & Kent Review
Wednesday, 16 September 2015
Hazel & Kent sent me these pretty earrings to review. They arrived in a box with a rather unique design compared to normal boxes. The earrings themselves are called Topaz Silver Red Crystal Stud Earrings and are just under £10. I love the unusual shape and how much they twinkle in the light. The red is a very bright rich colour which can be worn all year round. You can never have too many pairs of earrings! I have an allergy to certain metals, luckily these are made of sterling silver so they're perfect for me.
This is what they look like on, they're different from most of my earrings which tend to have a metal finish and look flat on. These earrings are really affordable, which makes them a great Christmas present! What do you guys think of them?
Body Jewellery Shop REVIEW
Monday, 14 September 2015
Body Jewellery Shop have a wide variety of jewellery ranging from earrings to nose studs. I was sent heart glitter earrings and a clip on ear cuff. The cuff looks like real two piercings and is a good quality for the price (£1.99). They fit pretty much everywhere around the ear. The hearts are a pretty crystal design. I'm not keen on heart earrings, the heart isn't really prominent enough to notice it's a heart right away. It's a shame there's a sort of black outline, I also expected it to be a rough surface, not something that feels like it's been smoothed over with glue. Despite the earrings being a bit of a disappointment, I do love the ear cuff, it's fits really well and it's simple which is what I like most when looking for jewellery. There are a lot of different designs on their site that you guys should check out.

Gold Metallic Jewellery Tattoo
I was sent gold metallic tattoo's to review from glim glam. As you can see from the pictures, the design is a great quality and transfers perfectly. They last for at least 4 days but can easily be removed by rubbing them off. You get two sheets for £11.99 and they're perfect for festivals. They look like real jewellery once they're applied, very tight jewellery at least.
There's a bunch of different designs and colours on the website; including watercolours, metallics and glitters.

Beauty Kitchen Body Oil Review
Beauty Kitchen sent me this Body Oil to review. It aims to help brighten and tone your skin. When I used it I noticed it mainly moisturised my skin rather than tone it, that being said my face doesn't really need toning. Perhaps this would benefit older people who feel as though they need to tone and brighten their face.
The product is also supposed to help with cellulite and stretch marks, but I feel like that would only improve with long, frequent application. The oil itself smells really nice and it moisturises really well. I'm going to continue using it and give you an update when I finish the bottle.
It's worth checking out their site to see what else they have, they have some pretty bath bombs!
