Violet Voss Holy Grail Palette Review

VIOLET VOSS HOLY GRAIL PRO PALETTE £43

This palette has become my holy grail! It has a lot more warmer tones than my other palettes have, so it's been fun experimenting with shades I'm not used to. Violet Voss has probably created my favourite formula too as they have the perfect amount of pigment and are really easy to blend. I love how the entire palette works together, you could easily match any colours. I haven't tried them without an eyeshadow primer, but with one they last the entire time wearing the shadow. I initially bought this as I wanted some different shades for nights out and this palette had a great selection of mattes, satins and metals. It's a great size and the huge mirror inside is really handy. There was a moment where I was contemplating between this palette and the Modern Renaissance palette by ABH, but this one is better value as it comes with more shades and has more product in the pans. There are 20 shades, each pan holding 1.8 grams of product.

The packaging overall is very appealing to me, I love the glossy finish and the way it reflects light. The finish also seems to make it sturdier and protects the cover from finger marks. It's also great that rather than the palette being huge with tiny pans, they've made the most of the space so it's not too bulky. If 20 shades seems overwhelming to you, a good way to get used to the shades is applying the shades from a certain row. The first row across would be great for something slightly cooler, perhaps a more daily look. Where as the bottom row works well together and creates a template for a warm look. This palette is more versatile than it seems, I think you could easily use this daily like I have been doing. The lighter shades are a great way to start, such as Thanks A Latte, So Jelly, Transition and R U Kitten Me. (I love the names of the shades!).

This palette has been a great way for me to experiment and create looks I never thought I could create. It's a fun palette to play around with, possibly even an impossible one to go wrong with. £43 is a bit on the expensive side, but I couldn't recommend this enough! It's cruelty free and vegan which makes it even easier to support. The jojoba oil infused in the shades is a nice touch too. I got mine from Beauty Bay, so if you're thinking about getting it I wouldn't hesitate as they go out of stock quickly! What do you think of this palette? If you have it let me know, and if you don't, is it something you'd consider buying?

    1. I don't buy a palette unless I love every single colour, so to have a palette of 20 shades I love is great!

    1. I never really buy palettes unless all of the shades appeal to me, which obviously this one does, it's also a bonus that they're so pigmented!
